Model European Union Athens 2019
2019-1-EL02-KA347-004890
Summary
A Model European Union (MEU) simulation in Greece that will have participants from Greece and the rest of Europe. In the last 10 years, MEU simulations have gained great popularity amidst youth in various European countries and cities. In Greece itself, there are a few simulations that aim to simulate the EU and its institutions’ policy-making process but have not been extremely successful in attracting participants from all over Europe to make it a true European event. When discussing matters of the European Union such as European integration and to promote it, it is important, in our opinion, to have contribution and ideas from all over Europe and even outside of Europe to help us widen our perspectives to the benefit of everyone.

- By putting into theory into action during the simulation of MEU Athens 2019, to equip participants with a deep and all-rounded understanding of the legislations and EU legislative procedure
- To further engage and inspire youth to even pursue an advanced education or career in European affairs
